Last night I worked late and almost past the dinner time (~21:00). In BJ ppl don't clean up the tables in the restaurant during the later part of business time. On the way home I tried to find a clean small place to eat but all were messy. Finally found this small place in an opened area, no customer, only clean tables. I asked somebody whether they had been closed or not. Somebody shouted inside to ask the cook whether she still worked or not. Twenty minutes later a bowl of noodle was put in front of me. Obviously the kitchen was almost closed and the cook needed to prepare again the materials.

It was a 馬?肉麵 (really donkey meat?). The meat tasted like beef but rough, however, I like the texture of noodle, elastic and smooth. If you like 元茜 and herbs, you should be happy.

The noodle and a big bottle of Ying Gin beer only costed me $8 ($6 noodle and $2 beer)! Hahaha unbelievable.

Hi Bob,

Donkey Noodle...ummm sound to be an interesting meal. Would certainly want to take a try when go to Peking.

Great to know that you are fully settled there and need to warm up your hand for the 2008 Olympic.

Thankyou,
Johnny
